Its been almost 3 months I have not been riding so I set my way to chumphon. Why chumphon?
1. I never been to chumphon
2. It is achievable distance even on solo and haven’t been riding much
3. I need to go somewhere far as it was on a long weekend.
I invited the Mandarin Boys to this ride but most of them have other plans. So solo ride it is. I started my journey with a quick dinner around 11pm with Faizal Maulud (FM) in shah alam. Around 2am, i continue on my journey north after refueling at Rawang rest area.
My next fuel stop is at Simpang Pulai. Here I met fellow riders heading to phuket. We end up riding together in to Thailand and split paths near Surat thani.

30km before Pathalung
After that our path divided and i went further north to Chumphon. I made a lot of stops refreshing myself as my journey continue as it was more than 12hours ride. Finally i made it. It was a nice town. I stroll the town to find a place to stay. After checking in at the Sri Chumphon Hotel, i take a shower and head back to my bike to explore the town. It was only 3.45pm after all (thai time).
Looking for food I went out with my bike towards the beach which is about 12km away. I even went through the local villages and couldn’t find open shops. It seems deserted, maybe I was at the wrong time.
Finally I went back to town and get some grubs at 7 Eleven. It is enough for me. I then went back to my room and get the sleep that I need. Tomorrow I will heading back south to HatYai to meet some friends that are there for the 1st Songkhla Bike Week.
I had a quick breakie before my journey continue.
Riding solo, I can ride with my own pace with lots of stops and at a little bit slower to view the beautiful countryside along the route. I good experience indeed. I already figure out where to ride next along the way.
