Island & Tea Ride (Day 1)

14 September 2013. We started our journey BHP gombak around 10am after we had our breakfast. Traffic is not that bad but still many cars on the road as it is a long weekend. We headed to Cameron Highland via Sg. Koyan which was my first time using the route. Along the way we have to pass through Bentong and Raub as the road just sit in the middle of the town.

We took the alternative road to sg koyan and refuel at a station before the route entrance.

The sg. Koyan route is quite interesting, it was a uphill curvey road with less cars. We have a few first-timers with us so we are setting as a slow pace. Well, there are few of us went ahead after seeing the curves.

Finally we arrived in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands. We checked in Komardi Chalet that was nearby Tanah Rata town.

After check in, we went for lunch at Erra Restaurant for a buffet lunch.

The clouds shows that it will be starting to falk any moment, some if us headed back to the chalet while a few of us went for a tea at Bharat Tea nearby.

Then it pours heavily. We rested here with some tea and scones keeping us company. We even had teh tarik as our second drinks. When the rain started to show sign that it would stop we headed back to the chalet.

One cold ride later and we are at the chalet. It still raining, so our plan that night been postponed and we were stranded there. We even order foods from Erra Restaurant to deliver it for us.

That night, we decided to stay in and just fill our time chatting while a few of us went for a karaoke session nearby.
